We have made great strides towards eliminating racial tensions in today’s society, however, we are still not free from prejudice and discrimination. What more needs to be done to ease these tensions or, perhaps, totally eliminate them?

As in, “this washing machine will clean your clothes!” or “This detergent will make your clothes smell nice!” n’ suchlike.

But how much of our society is based on truths we can relate to?

I know of the reference to **** Germany, but **** Germany also designed the Volkswagen, and I don’t here anyone calling to ban the Volkswagen.
There is also the slippery slope reference and comparison to **** Germany which is invalid, because the US has a functioning democracy and civil society including disability rights organizations, so the comparison is invalid.
There is also the argument of individual rights which is invalid, because social rights always come before the individual.
We don’t even have to force people to get sterilized, the government could pay them. You sensitive types may be offended by this, but consider the alternative, a world full of people with genetic disorders, because natural selection no longer removes them from our gene pool.
We should pay them to get sterilized, yes we should!

Social norms such as clothing, interests, beliefs, labels/cliques. Mainly I’m talking about the United States here. We have social norms such as in clothing, wearing something out of the norm will make you look ‘gay’ or ‘weird,’ then with interests as people are expected to be into sports and other ‘American’ tastes, yet, we are and individualistic society.
I guess I’m comparing that to the variety of street fashion found in Japanese youth. Much of it would be unacceptable by American standards even though America is supposed to be an “individualistic” society.
