How can a progressive society protect itself against mass immigration by anti-progressives?
Let’s say that 50 years in the future, the most radical faction of the Democratic Party has completely remade America in the image it wants. The government provides free health care for everybody, social security has somehow been saved from collapse, the partial birth abortion ban has been repealed and the government is providing free abortions on demand, and every other progressive goal has been implemented.
How exactly would this society protect itself against mass immigration from a bunch of theocons of an unspecified religion who sought to come to America to make America into a theocracy based on their holy book? How could a progressive America protect itself from being invaded and turned into a theocracy?
