The Humane Society of the United States is a radical group that wants to end all hunting, fishing, animal testing and trapping. They have no connection with the local humane societies that run animal shelters. They are almost the same as PETA.

The ASPCA is the parent organization for many community animal shelters and provides a valuable service to animals in need. They are a much more respectable and honest organization than HSUS.
