What is a good example of stubborn egoism in literature, society or pop culture?
I am doing a study of the greek tragedy Antigone and am analyzing the vost of Creon’s choices. He refuses to compromise and defines his duty as enforcing civil law to maintain order. He is obsessed with a strict interpretation of the law. He refuses to back down as this would reveal a weakness to his new monarchy. What is a good example of this in modern society? I need examples whether it be issues in society or an example in literature/music/TV
