How has technological advances helped more than harm the human society?
I need some more points for my 5 minute debate ^^”
And I need some points for my counterspeech.
My opponent will be stating how technology harmed human society.. how can I oppose his points?

well it help the human race to be more efficient, so that we don’t waste our resources and time. Technology help us to be more precise and do task tat we can’t possibly do like calculating thousands and millions of time in one second like a computer can. it just basically makes our life much easier so tat we can spend most of our energy on focusing to live a better life.

Here’s what you do;
1. Ask everyone in the class to stand up.
2. Tell anyone who knows they were born by C-section, or had any other complications at birth to sit down. These would most likely have died at childbirth.
3. Tell anyone who has ever had surgery to sit down (an appendix out, tonsils out, an abcessed tooth). These people would most likely have died of infection, or whatever else required the surgery.
4. Of those left standing, ask if anyone who has ever broken an arm or a leg to raise their hand. Tell two of those people to sit down (as they would have died of gangrene).
By now there be less than half the class standing … if so then stop here … you’ve made your point.
5. (Optional). If most people are still standing, ask them to raise their hand if they’ve ever had a flu shot. Tell half of them to sit down (as flu epidemics can be fatal).
6. If there are still a lot standing, go for the big gun. Ask them to raise their hand if they’ve ever had immunization as kids for things like polio, measles, mumps, rubella, pertussis (whooping cough), diptheria. *All* of them should raise their hands (as these are pretty standard for all children). Again, ask half of them to sit down.
If you’ve done this right, out of a class of 30, you should have only 7 or 8 people still standing.
Then point out that everyone sitting would have died without the modern technology of medicine.
I think that will make a point.
