It will fall apart and only the strongest, smartest and meanest (people having all 3 traits) will thrive. Could be fun for some.

Welcome to the United States of America!!
I would think that it would become anarchy – the laws would be meaningless, and therefore, no one would follow them. They would lose respect for the judicial system, and our government in turn would collapse.
Either way, I don’t think I want to know about if it could happen or not!

I think it depends on the degree of how they cheat the laws and what laws they cheat. This brings into the argument the idea of “mala en se” and “mala prohibita” laws. In theory, “mala prohibita” laws don’t have the moral mandate of society, so it is almost presumed that people will cheat them. On the other side of the coin, if enough people cheat the system and continue to get away with it, it results in a breakdown of society and rule of law. I guess in the worst case scenario, society would collapse into anarchy until groups could restructure and reorganize society.

People have been cheating the laws for years.
Lawyers find the loopholes. To me, this is cheating. Plea bargains and all that other garbage is cheating the law and it has been done for years and that is why there are so many criminals who just get a slap on the wrist.

When they do it on a massive scale it’s called a Republican administration.

Society will develop a new code of laws and a means of enforcement. We are naturally a law abiding species.

That moment happened millenia ago.
There have been cheats as long as there have been laws.
Having rational laws would at least make good people not cheat them. Then only true criminals would.
