How to move away from society and become a hermit?
I’m sick of society and would like to live by myself in the middle of nowhere. How much money do I have to accumulate for this to be a realistic endeavor?

Well you’ll always need money since you have to eat and have shelter, so you would need a job which is IN society. If you wanna be a hermit then you have to live in the wild.

Well, you can go live in the forest, find a clearing and chop up wood from the nearby trees and build a cabin, dig a well for water, and live with no electricity and build an outhouse, and when you need to clean it out, dig a hole and dump the muck in it, then re cover. Also, for food you can kill the wildlife and cook it over a bonfire.

Twenty thousand should be loads.
I’ve done it with two thousand when I was twenty one but I was strong then.
Lasted two years in the wilderness before the pain of lonely overwhelmed me.

WHY would you need money if you decide to become a hermit? That would mean you would have to live close enough to society in order to use that money – and you would no longer be a hermit.
