I’m not a fundamentalist, but i would hope that the acceptance of homosexuality as morally superior to heterosexuality would be quite subversive, perhaps enough so to cause problems with the current “world order”, which would be a good thing. Therefore, i suggest the following:

Homophobia exists in order to reinforce patriarchal gender roles and therefore shore up a scarcity-based mindset by separating public and private realms and restricting the concept of value to that which can be easily commodified. Overcome homophobia and you overcome sin on a much larger scale. For instance, it could expose marriage as the legitimisation of the oppression of women by men because there is no ********** equivalent. This also means that actually, ********** marriage is the last thing the ***** community needs, and that fundamentalist Christians are doing exactly what we all need them to do.

How DARE you insult homosexuality that way. No family? They damn well have family. They were born into one and can start one all the same. No strong nation? anyway…to the matter at hand.

Yes indeed they are using their so called religious objections to homosexuality to mask their own homophobia.

And moreover, I would warrant that for many of them their homophobia is at its most basic level motivated by their own insecurity and uncertainty vis a vis the solidity of the foundations of their heterosexuality.

ie: They’re all closet queens

and afraid to admit it, since being raised in backwoods trailer parks and narrow minded, intellectually barren suburban enclaves…..they have good reason to believe their loving family and friendly neighbours would beat the living out of them should they emerge from the closet wearing stilettos, pink tutus and Diana Ross wigs!

They just say that crap about “if people are *** then children will think it’s okay to be gay” yet they don’t even give a valid reason as to WHY it’s NOT OKAY to be ***.

Ultimately the Church’s position is outdated. If they say they don’t want *** marriage due to them having children, they are forgeting that the child who is going to be adopted might not have been adopted without the *** couple. And besides, a *** couple won’t raise a child to be homosexual, thats ultimately up to the childs instincts.
